Evangelistic Small Groups

Introduction

Small Groups organized by Adventist local congregations are called by different names.  In the Hawaii Conference they are called "Ohana" Groups.  "Ohana" is the Hawaiian word for "family".  The NADEI calls these small groups "holistic" small groups or "cells".  The Chino Spanish Church calls these groups "discipleship" groups.  While the names may differ these groups share many common characteristics that make them different from other kinds of small groups.  One major difference is the passion for fullfilling the Great Commission to go and make disciples of all.  It is for this reason that I choose to use the name "Evangelistic Small Groups" to describe this initiative.
